Feel free to subscribe to my blog and follow it as a source for “weight management beneficial” questions to improve your unique internal world…. For example:
Ask yourself – “why am I feeling so full?” (in terms of food). In many cases you might find clues, recent memories and explanations to support your “fullness”… Strangely enough, even recollecting the recent meal and vividly visualizing and re-experiencing the details about that meal in your mind might actually help to reinforce the sensation of satiety… Now, the very next moment, ask yourself – “am I hungry?” – and, here you go – you might discover plenty of reasons to support that as well, and any image of food would make you even hungrier and provoke the usual “snack journey.”
Visualization of food by itself generates the appetite, recollecting the memories of the recent meal or visualizing the process of eating may actually reinforce or even generate the satiety… Experiment participants who vividly imagined eating “M&Ms” right before they were offered to eat the actual candies, ate significantly smaller amounts as a result… Our brain is full of tricks which do not always obey the laws of logic. The right questions work better than affirmations or self convictions to influence and tint our perceptions!
You also might ask yourself things like – “what else can I do to improve my weight loss efforts?” Or, you can ask – “how come my weight loss is not as efficient as it should be?” Those are kind of similar questions, about the same problem, but the answers could be drastically different – new insights versus excuses… Watch what you ask yourself… or others… Follow my blog to discover and use it as a source for “weight management beneficial” questions to improve your unique internal world….
