Every time we experience an extreme emotion, our Body looks for clues what it is related to, it wants to link that emotion to the event in the environment, which may not be necessarily be related to the experienced emotion. What does it have to do to weight loss? We can ancher the emotion of full satiety to a trigger and then we want to experience that emotion – just reproduce the triggering event. First create a trigger – it could be as simple as touching a middle phalange of your left ring finger with your left thumb. Now, using your imagination and recollection of the past events, bring yourself back into the picture when you had a great meal and you felt completely satisfied and full. Try to reproduce the feeling and emotion that you were experiencing at that time. How did it feel? Now, when you are completely immersed in that feeling, try to touch the middle phalange of the left index finger with your thumb. Do it repeatedly, the anchoring may not happen on the first attempt unless the feeling was either extremely intense or repeated… It’s based on the same principle as Pavlov’s dogs famous experiment…
