If you have an aversion or a dislike to a certain food, there are at least three potential causes that may have created that. 1. You had in the past a really bad experience which was caused by that particular food and now you dislike it (reality). 2. You had a bad experience in the past which was caused by something else, but it was attributed by you to that particular food and now you dislike it (perception). 3. You imagined and convinced yourself, or someone else convinced you that you had or your might have a bad experience to that particular food (imagination). P.S. When I was 6 years old my older sister approached me and gave me a piece of chocolate covered ice cream, while saying – “you not gonna like it at all, the ice cream is cold and biting your lips and the chocolate is really gross and bitter” – and she gave me to try, and indeed it was bitter and cold and the ice was biting my lips. And I stayed away from the eye scream and chocolate for at least few months or might be even a year. It’s dissipated over time and I became “normal”, but the effect was real, long lasting and sustained
