Why weight loss rarely happens automatically? I think it is because our weight management regulation system works as a one-way valve: it facilitates the food in, makes sure that the energy balance is positive. It appears that there are very few physiological situations when our Body “valve” facilities the negative energy balance, when our Body actually “wants” to get rid of extra weight. Strenuous exercise appears to be one of such rare facilitating situations, and I think the important word here is “strenuous”, because the leisure work or swim does not appear to do it. Which brings a question- how the Body “decides “ what is strenuous and what is not? Can we alter this perception to our advantage? Can we “fool” our body that it does strenuous exercise without actually doing it (this idea is for folks like myself, who believe that we are too busy to do it:)). And – what are the other situations that might potentially facilitate the automatic, spontaneous decision from our Body to get rid of extra pounds, and can we learn how to create such situations either in real or our imaginative world?
