When I look at myself I see – a physical Body, a nonmaterial Mind, and a mysterious Emotions/Feelings… Who is in charge? At times we feel that our Body is in charge, other times we are convinced that the logic of our Mind is guiding our lives, other times we feel overwhelmed with our Emotions… In my opinion, the most interesting moment is that we can also take a position of an independent observer – let’s just call it Myself, and observe the tragedy of Body-Mind-Emotions interacting and kind of fighting with each other to get in charge of … “Myself”!!!! Emotions and Feelings are the terms that many people use interchangeably without exploring any differences between the two of them. My view is – feelings are components of emotions. Each emotion as such is comprised of three elements – a perception of the reality, followed by generation of a particular feeling, as a reaction to that particular reality, which in tern results in certain reactions and physiological changes. Every emotion changes our Body in one or another way… We often can reproduce our feelings by recollecting and visualizing the situations which are known to cause them, in such way we can actually influence the physiology of our Body…
