We think using words, or visualizations. Visualizations could be visual (a picture), or auditory (try to recollect a sound), it could also be a smell, or taste or a kinaesthetic memory, or a combination of all or some of them. In many situations our Body may perceive those visualizations and react to them as it would rect to the reality.
